Shel Israel和Robert Scoble（悄悄透露一下，Robert Scoble也会出现在年会）一起合著了著名的企业博客畅销书Naked Conversations（中文版“财富博客”），对博客、社会性媒体，以及它们在商业和文化上的应用和社会影响有深入的研究。最近Israel开始写一本有关Twitter在商业中应用的新书。

We are honored to have Shel Israel (@shelisrael) to have a keynote on social media and culture across the world in the second day of CNBloggerCon.

Shel Israel writes and speaks on social media’s impact on business and culture. Some of his work is conducted in public and some of it is done for the enterprise and other private organizations.
He has recently been an editorial contributor to BusinessWeek, Dow Jones and FastCompany. Ad Age ranks his blog as #59 on its Power 150 list. Israel is perhaps best-known as co-author with Robert Scoble of Naked Conversations–how blogs are changing the way businesses talk with customers, considered by many to be the seminal book on business blogging. He has begun work on a new book about business uses of Twitter.

Since 2005, Israel has been a featured speaker at conferences and as an enterprise guest nearly 50 times in eight countries, including China. More than 10,000 people have seen me speak on social media.

Since 2005, Israel has followed social media’s impact on culture and business. He has interviewed more 300 people in 35 countries. They are a diverse group, ranging from Michael Dell, founder of Dell Computers to Wael Abbas, who posts hidden camera videos on YouTube showing acts of Egyptian police brutality; Laurel Papworth, an Australian who has helped Saudi women start a social network to Isaac Mao, the Chinese entrepreneur who was his country’s first blogger.

In cnbloggercon 2008, Israel will relate the stories of a few of the people he’s talked with and how each of them have contributed to social media. He will examine how culture and social media are changing each other. He’ll also discuss how social media is allowing people in connected countries to find others who share common interests all over the world and how he has learned how similar people all over the world are to each other.
